Mothers Day is May 9th

Mothers Day is the Celebration of Mothers , Motherhood and Maternal Bonds in general. A Great Gift for Mothers Day is by simply giving your mom the day off to rest and relax. No cleaning or cooking, maybe start with a little breakfast in bed ( but make sure you clean up afterwards, no pots and pans in the sink!!) If you can not cook you could always go a pick up some freshly baked muffins or scones, a few coffees and her favorite juice arrange it all on a tray and surprise Mom when she wakes with breakfast in bed.

Now how about the card, don't forget the card- it really means a lot!! Get a good one- it doesn't have to be mushy but something you want to say. If you can not find the perfect  one- you could make one.

On Mothers Day many people buy flowers for their mom and after a few weeks ( maybe even one week ) they are dead and thrown away.  Berry wreaths have become a VERY hot item in home decor. They compliment pretty much any decor

They are a wonderful welcome on your front door, inside your home as a wall hanging or display on a dining table as a centerpiece to encircle a glass hurricane or votive candle. Handcrafted with faux berries on a natural vine base. The vines that the berries are attached to are bendable so that the berries can be shaped for different looks and sizes. I have made a number of different colored wreaths and I have also mixed and matched colors for custom looks. These are perfect for any season and are a great alternative to the traditional silk flower wreaths.

My new creation is a OOAK Spring Wreath with an abundance of beautiful spring blooms. This piece reminds me of the flowers you see on a spring day at the farmers market. The flower cart is always packed with the most vibrant colors and wonderful waves of perfumed air. I have such Spring Fever. It is starting to warm up here in Connecticut. I can't wait to get to the different farmers markets in the small surrounding towns where I live. There is this one couple that grow their own strawberries and they taste like nothing I have ever tasted before, the most delicious, red, sweet, juicy berries. Not supermarket, over developed berries. I think really good produce is hard to find at just your typical supermarket. If I see a farm stand , I'm stopping :) Dont Forget:  March 14th Spring Ahead and change your clocks for 1 hour ahead.

Yes, I know it is Febuary and here on the East Coast we just got a whole load of snow but it is sunny and the snow is melting. While the snow was falling I was busy designing my new Spring/Summer collection of Wreaths.
